The showdown with the formidable Chaos brought Fay’s team one step closer to discovering the truth behind the gods’ games. But before they can even catch their breath, Chaos’s defeat draws the attention of the god known as the Great Beast Nibelung. She springs a game on them: solving a murder mystery in a village where the headman has been found dead…and the killer is among them! Fay’s team, and even Chaos and Chief Secretary Miranda, falls under suspicion. They’ll have to juggle their roles as townsfolk and investigators as they attempt to deduce the identity of the perpetrator before time runs out. Their most dangerous opponent yet might just be their mistrust of each other. After all, isn’t it always the ones you least suspect?
