The manga adaptation of Serena Valentino's New York Times bestselling story. The sea witch who tricked a mermaid, the events that led her there, and the way the world shaped her into the villainess she ultimately became.

The first manga adaptation of Disney's popular Villains series by Serena Valentino, Poor Unfortunate Soul: The Manga serves as a backstory for Ursula the Sea Witch and explains her past, her relationship with King Triton, her place in the kingdom of Atlantica, and what caused her to be banished from there — as well as the events that lead to her demise. Weaving together Ursula’s tale with the stories of Villains series characters like the Odd Sisters and Princess Tulip, Poor Unfortunate Soul: The Manga tells the story of the witchy and monstrous minds working behind-the-scenes to meddle in Ariel’s life. Adapted by bestselling and award-winning author Barbara Perez Marquez, and illustrated by manga artist Yui Obata, this manga features an authentic right-to-left reading direction.
